All services are provided in accordance with applicable building codes, industry standards, and the specific terms outlined in individual service agreements. The availability of specific services may vary by geographic location.
3. Service Agreements and Contracts
Before commencing any paid service, both parties will sign a detailed service agreement outlining the scope of work, materials to be used, project timeline, payment schedule, warranty terms, and any other relevant terms specific to the project. This service agreement, along with these Terms and the Privacy Policy, constitutes the complete understanding between you and Automated Home Style regarding the specific project. Verbal agreements are not binding unless confirmed in writing by an authorized Automated Home Style representative.
4. Pricing and Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in US Dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes, permits, and fees unless explicitly stated otherwise. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise noted. A deposit of 25-50% may be required before work begins, with the balance due upon completion or according to the payment schedule in your service agreement. We accept major credit cards, checks, ACH transfers, and offer financing through approved lending partners. Late payments may incur a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. Prices are subject to change if the scope of work is modified at your request.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
You may cancel a service agreement within three (3) business days of signing without penalty, in accordance with applicable state cooling-off period laws. After this period, cancellation fees may apply based on the work already completed, materials ordered, and costs incurred. Deposits for custom-ordered materials are generally non-refundable once materials have been ordered from our suppliers. If we are unable to complete a project due to circumstances within our control, you will receive a pro-rated refund for the uncompleted portion of work. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be processed within 30 business days.
6. Warranties and Guarantees
Automated Home Style provides a five (5) year workmanship warranty on all installations and labor performed by our team, beginning from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and installation but does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, accidents, natural disasters, unauthorized modifications, or failure to perform recommended maintenance. Manufacturer warranties on materials and products are separate and are passed through to the customer in their entirety. Warranty claims must be reported in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect.
7. Permits and Code Compliance
Automated Home Style is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits required for the work performed, unless otherwise specified in the service agreement. All work will be performed in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards. If existing conditions in your home do not meet current code requirements and are discovered during the project, we will inform you and provide an estimate for bringing those conditions up to code before proceeding. Additional code-compliance work will be quoted separately.
8. Property Access and Preparation
You agree to provide Automated Home Style and its subcontractors with reasonable access to your property during agreed-upon working hours. You are responsible for removing personal belongings, furniture, and other items from the work area before work begins, unless arrangement for this service is included in your agreement. We will take reasonable care to protect your property during the project, including the use of drop cloths, protective coverings, and dust containment systems. Automated Home Style is not responsible for damage to items left in the work area after being notified to remove them.
9. Project Delays and Force Majeure
Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by factors including but not limited to weather conditions, material availability, permit processing times, unforeseen structural issues, change orders, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to force majeure events including natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, or other events that could not have been reasonably foreseen. We will communicate any delays promptly and provide updated timelines.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Automated Home Style's total liability for any claims arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or emotional distress, regardless of whether such damages are based on contract, tort, strict liability, or any other theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Automated Home Style, its officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and subcontractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your breach of these Terms; your use of our services in violation of any law or regulation; any content or materials you provide to us; any dispute between you and a third party related to your property; and any modifications you make to the completed work that compromise the integrity of our installation.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on the Automated Home Style website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, videos, icons, audio clips, software, and the overall design and layout of the Site, is the exclusive property of Automated Home Style or its content suppliers and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, or otherwise exploit any content from our Site without our prior written consent.
13. Website Use and Conduct
